I am SEW, but I don't sew...?

SEW Ceramics is the work of Scott Edward Williams, a Cambria-based maker who swapped Hollywood deadlines for the potter’s wheel. After 25 years in the Entertainment Industry, designing over 350 movie and TV main titles, directing commercials, and branding networks, Scott traded bright lights for kiln fires. During the COVID pandemic, he swapped pixels for porcelain, earning a certificate in ceramics at Cuesta College and discovering that clay has fewer executives giving notes. Inspired by his grandmother — a lifelong maker who found joy in transforming simple, everyday materials into something magical — and by the shifting tides of California’s Central Coast, Scott now handcrafts lamps and objects under the name SEW Ceramics. Each piece is Cambria-made — a little bit of Hollywood polish, a little bit of beach sand underfoot.
