FOR WHAT
IT'S WORTH

A collaborative video and installation project with the Cuesta College student group, For What It’s Worth, combined ancient vessels and discarded tech materials to reflect on an uncertain future. This project showcases clay as a storytelling medium, engaging with material contrast and conceptual experimentation, and demonstrating how craft can illuminate bigger ideas.

For What It’s Worth is a collaborative video and installation created with the Cuesta College student group. By juxtaposing ancient vessels with discarded tech materials, the work asks us to reflect on the future of technology, including AI, and its impact on our world. How does human creation — from pottery studios to modern industry — affect the environment? How can art be a force for awareness without contributing to destruction? This project invites viewers to consider our relationship with resources, responsibility, and innovation, using clay and installation as a lens to explore these urgent questions.
